EMU Summer Science Research Program

Summer 2021

During this intensive three-week summer program, students will learn how to: 

  • Perform experimental techniques

  • Use the process of scientific research

  • Gather and record data

  • Interpret their findings

  • Communicate their research

  • Apply science lab safety

  • Uphold research ethics

  • Prepare and present an effective scientific presentation

High school students will work on an original research project in either biochemistry, molecular biology, microbiology, neuroscience or physics. In addition to learning laboratory skills and how to use the scientific method to design experiments, students will receive training in laboratory safety, scientific ethics and how to craft a scientific presentation.
